| Customer Reviews: Auto Books June 12, 2010 Paul R. Robinson This is a really great book! I know it sounds funny, but I learned a lot about fasteners and thread lubricants that I didn't know. And it's very easy reading.
Fasteners / Pluming 101 October 27, 2009 Bubba T (Ohio) The book was not what I was looking for however it turned out to be a great book. If you are new to fasteners and pluming then this will be a great reference book to have. The explanation and definition of terms really helps a beginner understand what they are experiencing. I do recomend the book, especially if you are new to the hobby.
Surprisingly fascinating read... April 25, 2009 Broadmeadow (Austin, TX) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I picked this book up because I needed to learn about fasteners and fluid plumbing for a Ghia I'm fixing. I'd expected this to be a necessary but boring slog of a read.
Much to my surprise I found it fascinating. The author's explanations are clear and concise without being dumbed down. But the author also doesn't make assumptions that you automatically know the background information either.
If you're looking for a book on this subject, this is the one.
A Clear and Concise Review of These Essential Automotive Components September 27, 2008 Joseph H. Smith (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a great book for anyone who does any work on automobiles. It gives an explanation of the components that hold the vehicle together as well as the conduits that carry the fluids that allow the mechanical systems to function. These systems are often forgotten because they are not glamorous like stereo systems or fancy paint jobs but are imperative for the proper functioning of the engine running and the ability to stop the car safely. If you crash into a brick wall, it does not matter how many watts your sound system puts out. A must read.
